LOW STOCK Battlestar Galactica's Raptors were the equivalent of helicopters and were used for reconnaissance and transport missions. They were capable of faster-than-light travel and of entering a planet's surface.

The ship had to be built as a life-size model so it was designed in the BSG art department by Ken Rabehl. As it was built it got larger and more robust so it could accommodate five people and be taken on location. The Eaglemoss model is just under 9" (22.5 cm) from front to back.
