This is a replica of the original stargate from Stargate SG-1, also known as the Alpha Gate. The gates were developed over 50 million years ago by the Ancients and can be used to open wormholes between different planets and even different galaxies. The Ancients called them Astria Porta and seeded them throughout the Pegasus and Milky Way galaxies. When the Goa'uld took control of them they called them Chappa'ai.
The gate used by SG-1 was buried by the ancient Egyptians after they overthrew the Goa'uld Ra. It was uncovered in 1928 and was eventually powered up at a secret facility in Cheyenne Mountain, which was home to the Stargate Program. It has nine chevrons and 39 glyphs that can be used to dial the address of thousands of inhabited planets.
The model is made of a high quality polystone, which holds the detail exceptionally well. The gate itself has a diameter of 9.25 inches (23.5 cm). It is an individual piece that can be slotted into the display stand, which bears the SG-1 symbol from the planet Earth.

Master Replicas partner with carriers which will deliver your collectible safely and efficiently while keeping shipping costs as favourable to the customer as possible. Currently we use Royal Mail and Whistl as our preferred carriers for international shipments.
You will be provided with a shipping cost for in-stock orders during the checkout process.
Customs fees, sales taxes, etc., are not included in your purchase price and may be charged by your country’s customs office. In some cases, these duties and customs fees are collected by the carrier.
It is your responsibility to investigate the amount of taxes and duties you will owe prior to your shipment. Master Replicas uses the commodity code that is appropriate for the importation of our products into your region. Your customs office has the power to change this code on their own. If you feel that your final code / tax is not correct, then you can contact the carrier and/or your customs office directly to request a review.
If a package is refused due to excessive import fees and duties, you will be responsible for any return shipping fees that the carrier will charge Master Replicas to return the package.
If Master Replicas is unable to have the item returned due to a package refusal a refund will not be issued.
