The 2009 STAR TREK movie opens with the Romulan Nero arriving in the 23rd century and attacking the U.S.S. Kelvin. The story then skips forward 25 years when Nero attacks Vulcan. This graphic novel, which is based on a story by the movie's writers Alex Kurtzman and Robert Orci, follows Nero duing those lost years.
