When the Reliant made its debut in STAR TREK II, it was the first time we'd seen a full-sized Starfleet ship that was a different shape to the Enterprise. The Miranda-class Reliant was a small veseel that was assigned to the Genesis Project, until Khan took control of it and used it to ambush Kirk. The Miranda class went on to become a classic. This is the XL version of the ship which measures  just over 8.5" (22 cm) long.
