STAR TREK GENERATIONS opens with the launch of the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-B. Things go badly wrong when the Nexus ribbon appears nearby and Admiral Kirk is lost as the Enterprise attempts to rescue some El Aurian refugees. The wall display in the Enterprise-D's conference room had established that the Enterprise-B was an Excelsior-class ship, but John Eaves modified the design to make it unique. The Eaglemoss model is 5.5" (14 cm) long.
